CS In Place · for colleges

Teach a topic. See what the class understood.

After you teach a topic, your students practise its questions, and you see the class's accuracy on it — topic by topic, sub-topic by sub-topic, student by student. The questions are exam-level, so the same practice prepares them for exams like GATE.

After every topic

Three steps, and the second one isn't yours.

  1. 01

    Teach the topic

As you always do — in class, in your order, at your pace.

  2. 02

    The class practises it

Students work through that topic's exam-level questions on their own time, and see the answer and an explanation as soon as they answer.

  3. 03

    You see what it understood

The class's accuracy for the topic and each of its sub-topics, the weakest topics, and the students who need attention.

The professor portal

Read-only, for every professor you invite. Nothing to create, upload or mark.

What professors see

  • Accuracy by subject, topic and sub-topic — for the whole class or one student
  • Weak topics and a “needs attention” list, so you know where to step in
  • Class roster with each student's last activity and practice, exportable as CSV
  • Each student's activity over time, and the results of any full-length paper the class has sat
  • Filter by your own departments (CSE, ECE, Mech…) or see the whole college
  • Professors join by invite link; nothing to set up or keep up to date

FAQ

Questions colleges ask us.

What is CS In Place?

CS In Place is for colleges. Students practise exam-level questions topic by topic, with answers and explanations, and professors get a read-only portal showing how the class is doing on each topic and sub-topic, and how each student is doing.

Can professors see whether students understood a topic they taught?

Yes. After a topic is taught, students practise its questions, and the professor portal shows the class's accuracy for that topic and each of its sub-topics, for the whole class or one student, along with the weakest topics and the students who need attention.

Where do the practice questions come from?

They are previous year GATE questions, reviewed by our team, each with its answer key and an explanation, and filed by subject and topic. Because they are exam questions, practising them also prepares students for exams like GATE.

Do professors have to create questions or tests?

No. The questions are already on the platform. Professors only read the portal; there is nothing to write, upload or mark.

How do our students and professors join?

We give the college an invite link for its students and one for each professor. A student opens the link and signs in or creates an account, and their seat starts. Professors get their own sign-in to the professor portal.

Which branches can our students use?

CS, ECE, EE, ME and CE. A seat isn't tied to one branch, so a student can practise the questions of any of them.

How is it priced?

A seat for each student, billed annually for the college's term. Write to us for a quote.

What happens when a student's seat ends?

Their account and history stay. They can carry on independently on the usual student plans, and the college keeps its records of their past results.
